Douglas Hall Humanities Center, New Mexico Highlands University
Las Vegas, NM
This $4.8 million project consisted of the renovation of the 1928 Douglas School by John Gaw Meem listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The addition of a 33,000 SF faculty offices building houses 34 offices, 3 conference rooms and related support areas.
The renovation maintained the classroom spaces complying with Historic Preservation guidelines while upgrading them to current academic requirements.
Jorge Machin was Project Architect and Designer for this project while with Lloyd & Tryk Architects.
